HISTORY

Since the 1930s, Rothensee, a Magdeburg suburb, had been home of to large gasworks which supplied the city with gas until it was bombed in the Second World War. It was rebuilt during the GDR era, but only operated until the German reunification.

In 2001, work began on restoring the premises, and the construction of the new glulam factory started. Today, the area comprises about 18 ha in total and shines with a fresh and new appearance.

  • 2012 "Nordlam 2.0" featuring 25,000 m² of storage area and 30,000 m² of green spaces is erected
